TYOGA COUNTRY CLUB

HOUSE AND CLUB RULES

1. Club facilities are for Tyoga Country Club members and their guests (and the general public)

2. Private parties may be held at the discretion of the General Manager and the House Committee so as not to interfere with club functions. No party may close the club to usage by regular members.

3. Members shall be responsible for damages or expenses incurred by them or their guests.

4. Tyoga was approved for a liquor license in June 2007. Please purchase all your alcoholic beverages at the Clubhouse or at the Halfway House. Please drink responsibly.

5. Animals of any kind shall not be allowed in the dining room or bar-lounge areas of the clubhouse, except service dogs.

6. Members and guests are asked to observe the following requests:

a. Reservations for meals would be appreciated, especially when larger groups are in attendance. Phone (570) 724-1653 for reservations.

b. Treat your club BETTER than you do your home and you will keep your dues as minimal as possible. It is your club and your money, take care of it, support it and enjoy it.

7. Members are obligated to comply with the Chit System as adopted by the Board of Directors. If meals purchased at the clubhouse during any month do not equal or exceed the Chit, the member will be assessed the difference. Meals must be charged to your club account in order to be applied to your Chit. Your monthly account can be paid by check or credit card.

8. Any complaints regarding the clubhouse are to be made to the General Manger or the Chairman of the House Committee. Any food complaints should be made immediately to the server.

9. The Student Memberships were established to permit full time school students through college age, and claimed as a dependent by parents, to join and use the full club facilities with some restrictions. No voting privileges.

SWIMMING POOL REGULATIONS

1. All swimmers are to register DAILY at the swimming pool. All other guests will pay fees as posted.

2. All swimmers must enter the pool through a shower or footbath.

3. No one shall use the pool that has a contagious disease, fever, cold; skin infection, open cut, wound, inflammation of the eyes, severe sunburn, or is wearing a bandage.

4. No one under 18 shall be allowed in the pool enclosure unless a lifeguard is in attendance. No one will be allowed to swim alone.

5. Nothing may be taken into the pool enclosure, which will tend to adversely affect life, limb or property.

6. No running, pushing, tag playing, ball playing or rough play will be allowed. The lifeguard on duty may authorize Ball playing with beach balls when the pool is not crowded.

7. A parent or parent-appointed guardian shall accompany children 7 years of age or younger, or older children who cannot swim.

8. The lifeguard on duty shall not be deemed or considered to be a guardian or baby sitter, nor will he be responsible for any child except in the discharge of his normal lifeguard duties.

9. No child shall be left unattended in the wading pool.

10. Swimmers shall keep out of the diving area, except when recovering from a dive.

11. No pets shall be allowed in the pool enclosure.

12. No foods or drinks in glass containers shall be allowed in the pool enclosure.

13. Only proper attire shall be allowed in the swimming pool area. Bathing attire shall not be permitted outside the swimming pool area except to go to and from transportation. Robes or shirts shall be worn over swimming attire in all other areas of the club complex. No wet swimmer will be permitted in the clubhouse.

14. The lifeguard on duly shall have the authority to exclude from swimming anyone behaving in any manner, which might injure or offend other persons in the area.

15. The lifeguard shall insist upon all rules being observed, and shall report violations of these rules to the Pool Committee or General Manager with particulars, for actions as deemed necessary by the Board.

16. Personal, valuable or other articles shall not be left with the lifeguard for safekeeping.

17. Common sense, decency and safety consciousness shall govern all actions.

18. Swimmers will not be permitted on the golf course, including the putting green.

19. Pool hours will be posted for the season.

GOLF COURSE RULES

1. All golfers must register at the Pro Shop. Guests will register and pay fees as posted.

2. Carts are to be driven on paths or in roughs as much as possible. Keep carts on paths around tees and greens and observe cart direction signs.

3. Only spike less or soft spike golf shoes shall be worn.

4. Male golfers are prohibited from removing their shirts at any place on the golf course. Bermuda shorts are permitted, not bathing trunks. Lady golfers must be properly attired. Short shorts, bathing suits, etc. are not permitted. All golfers must wear neat and clean golf attire; prohibited are work clothes, cutoffs, frayed, torn, patched, bleached and faded shirts, trousers and sneakers. The Golf Pro and Starter shall have the authority to refuse permission to use the golf course, putting green and driving range for improper attire. Members have the responsibility to inform their guests of the proper dress requirements.

5. Property found on the course shall be turned over to the Pro Shop.

6. Repeated violations of rules or of etiquette should be reported to the Golf Pro or the General Manager.

7. Any member of the Board of Directors, or any manager, shall have the authority to exclude from playing anyone behaving in any manner, which might damage life, limb or property, or be detrimental to good order.

8. Players must be 18 years of age to participate in tournaments, unless the tournament is specifically for younger players.

9. 9. The rules of the U.S.G.A. and local rules shall govern all actions.

10. Dues must be current to play.

HANDICAPS

1. Only members with a verified handicap are eligible for tournament play.

2. The posting of scores for handicap purposes will commence in April.

3. Maximum handicap is 36.

4. Each time a game is played, a handicap posting is necessary. All 9 and 18 hole scores whether tournament or not, must be recorded in the Pro Shop. Failure to post rounds, or recording scores incorrectly will result in the handicap committee posting a par score for that person's round. Each player is responsible for his or her own score.

5. Scorecards must be turned in at the end of a round.

6. Each player is responsible for adjusting his or her score in accordance with the "Equitable Stroke Control" formula (posted in locker rooms) before score is posted for handicap purposes.

ETIQUETTE OF GOLF

1. No more than four golfers are allowed in a playing group. Foursomes have right-of-way over threesomes, twosomes, or a single, except for tournaments, match play or special events. Every effort will be made to make up foursomes from waiting players before teeing off at No. 1.

2. Under no circumstances is more than one player permitted to play from one bag or set of clubs.

3. No one should move or talk to or stand close to or directly in line with or behind the ball or the hole when a player is making a stroke.

4. No player shall play their ball until all players in the group in front are out of range.

5. Players, after holing out, shall leave the green promptly. Putting practice is confined to the practice green. Scores shall be entered after leaving green and upon reaching the next tee.

6. Players looking for a lost ball are allowed reasonable time to find same (3 to 5 minutes). They shall then signal following players to play though, and having signaled, they shall not resume play until these players are out of range.

7. A player will replace and press down any turf cut or displaced by his stroke.

8. Players shall carefully fill up all holes and rake over all footprints made in sand traps.

9. Players shall at all times play without undue delay.

10. Players shall not injure cups by standing close to them, or tampering with them in any way. Care will be exercised in removing and replacing flagsticks. The flagstick shall never be thrown down or carelessly dropped.

11. Players shall carefully repair all ball marks made in a green immediately upon reaching the green.

12. Slow and inexperienced players must allow faster players to play through when there is a clear hole ahead.

13. All practicing is to be confined to practice field.

CART RULES

1. The Golf Course Superintendent/General Manager and the Golf Pro shall have the sole authority to determine whether the condition of the course permits the use of carts.

2. Golf carts are not to be operated by any persons less than 16 years of age.

3. No more than two persons may ride in a golf cart at any time.

MEMBER-OWNED CARTS

1. Maximum limit of 60 member owned carts. The General Manager/Golf Course Superintendent must approve cart purchases.

2. A fee of $200 is required to put a new or used cart on the course. In addition, a trail fee is required annually for all cart owners. The Golf Course Superintendent must approve used carts.

3. Carts may be lent to another member or guest, but the regular cart rental fee must be paid at the Pro Shop prior to usage.

4. Non-cart owners riding in a privately owned cart must pay the appropriate cart fee at the Pro Shop. This applies to members and/or guests.
